A neuropsychologist is a psychologist who specializes in studying brain-behaviour relationships. Neuropsychologists have training in the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the nervous system and specialize in evaluating (and treating) people. They focus on cognition (the ability to think, remember, learn, etc.) in relation to the effects of brain injury, organic brain disease, or any condition that impacts on cognitive functions.
While our clinic is called “Practice in Neuropsychology”, we provide a full range of services in adult clinical psychology, from 16 and older. While assessing and treating adolescents and children is not currently a service we offer, we anticipate that this will be part of the services we offer as early as 2023.
“Assessments are not just tests. We strive to clarify the issue, what may be contributing, interpret carefully, and provide clear recommendations for what to do next.”
Dr. Duncan Day

Caitlinn joins our team all the way from New Zealand, where she completed her M.Sc. in Neuroscience at the University of Otago. After growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere in NZ, she now enjoys travelling and exploring new parts of the world, which ultimately led to her moving to Canada 2 years ago. Despite enjoying her time here, she is still learning how to cope with the freezing northern winter climate!
Liz has taken up psychometry as her third career. She has a B.Sc. from St Mary’s University in Halifax and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University. When she is not focused on the testing and administrative demands of Dr. Day’s practice she is focused on her family, and on managing her farm with horses, dogs, cats and chickens.
